In early 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic overtook our city, we saw many NYC school students struggle to adapt to the new reality of remote learning.
In some cases, students simply needed help keeping up without a full-time, in-person teacher. In other cases, students were just handed assignments and left to figure things out for themselves.
We thought “there must be a better way” and wanted to become part of the solution.
And with that, Peer Learning NYC was born.
We are a team of students from Stuyvesant High School who understand the challenges middle schoolers face, for both in-person and remote learning.
We understand that sometimes we all just need a little extra help from someone who knows what we’re going through. We’re not far removed from middle school ourselves and remember what it feels
We are a team of students from Stuyvesant High School who understand the challenges middle schoolers face, for both in-person and remote learning.
We understand that sometimes we all just need a little extra help from someone who knows what we’re going through. We’re not far removed from middle school ourselves and remember what it feels like to be afraid to ask a question or to worry about falling behind.
Our team works with students in grades six through nine on a one-on-one basis.
Our aim is to help you reach your goals by matching you with the best tutor based on subject matter, common interests and schedule.
While space is limited, we currently have availability and encourage you to contact us.
And it’s completely free.
We offer tutoring in math, science, writing, humanities, ELA and social studies.
We're here to help.
